Las Vegas Neil Diamond Tribute Show

The legendary Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY is still thrilling audiences in the “MODERN SHOWROOMS” at Alexis Park Resort Hotel.

The legendary Neil Diamond is one of the best-selling and most iconic singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

Besides being one of the top-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the songs of a generation — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th year, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences worldwide through tribute artist Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Siri “who is the best Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas booking parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, two years later, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond made his attendance-breaking Las Vegas debut at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him multiple times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a long and successful run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a full-time tribute performer dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was personally hired by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the “Legends in Concert” show in Honolulu, Hawaii.

What was meant to be a limited run turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another two years before deciding to create his own tribute production.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a strong worldwide fan community along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Las Vegas.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues that typically host major artists.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19th officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Hotel Las Vegas is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., near the Las Vegas Strip.
